In attendance: Vice President Larry Long, Secretary Ron Wright, Treasurer Tim Standeford, and General Manager Herb Cook.

The meeting was called to order at 8:05 AM by Larry Long.  The Minutes of the Directors meeting held on April 18, 2023 were presented for review/approval.  Ron Wright moved the minutes be approved as presented.  The motion was seconded by Tim Standeford and carried unanimously.  Herb Cook gave the Treasurer’s Report.  Larry Long made a motion to approve the Treasurer’s Report.  Ron Wright seconded the motion and carried unanimously.  Herb Cook gave the Operation’s and Manager’s Report.  Ron Wright made a motion to approve the Operation’s and Manager’s Report.  Tim Standeford seconded the motion and carried unanimously.

Old Business

  1. New Water Treatment Plant:  Kent Elliot gave the names of 4 general contractors that he has been working with on other water treatment plant projects and they are:  Mitchell and Stark Constructions, Inc., Reynolds, Inc., Patterson Horth, Inc., and Streigal Design and Construction, Inc.  The Board discussed the contractors and stated adding Sunco Construction to the list and sending bid packets to all 5 contractors for bids.  Also, Kent provided DN Tank and Preferred as contractors for the clear well.  Both of which the Board asked to send bids to.
  2. Krohn and Associates:  Corby Thompson made note that First Merchants is still working on credit approval for the loan and hopes that he will have more information in the coming weeks.

New Business

  1. Checking account:  With the recent fraud on the business checking account Herb Cook asked the Board about opening a second checking account for writing customer refund checks with.  After speaking with the accountant for Hill Water, Herb stated that there wouldn’t be any issues in the accounting.  Tim Standeford made a motion to open a second checking account with the signers being: Ron Wright, Ross Holloway, Larry Long and Herb Cook.  Ron Wright seconded the motion and carried unanimously.

With no other business to discuss, Tim Standeford moved for adjournment.  The motion received a second from Ron Wright and carried, unanimously.  The next monthly Directors meeting will be Tuesday, June 20, 2023 at 8:00 AM.  The meeting adjourned at 8:39 AM.
