Directors Meeting Minutes

March 19, 2024

In attendance: President Ross Holloway, Vice President Larry Long, Secretary Ron Wright, Treasurer Tim Standeford, Director Daryl Swinney, and General Manager Herb Cook.

The meeting was called to order at 8:00 AM by Ross Holloway.  The Minutes of the Directors meeting held on February 20, 2024 were presented for review/approval.  Tim Standeford moved the minutes be approved as presented.  The motion was seconded by Ron Wright and carried unanimously. 

Herb Cook gave the Treasurer’s Report.  Tim Standeford made a motion to approve the Treasurer’s Report.  Larry Long seconded the motion and carried unanimously.  Herb Cook gave the Operation’s and Manager’s Report.  Daryl Swinney made a motion to accept the Operation’s and Manager’s Report.  Larry Long seconded the motion and carried unanimously.

Old Business

  1. New Water Treatment Plant:  Herb Cook gave an update to the Board about the progress of the new water treatment plant.  Herb noted the weather has really been playing a big factor in getting a good start on the new plant.  Mitchell and Stark have completed the storm retention pond and storm sewer from the pond.
  2. System Development Charges (SDC):  At the previous Board meeting, the SDC was established and Herb Cook reported that the new Money Market account to hold the funds has been set up at the bank.

New Business

At the time of the meeting there was no New Business to discuss.

Construction

  1. Well Field Raw Water Mains:  The Board voted to have CSU, Inc do the bore thru the wetlands in the well fields.  Herb Cook reported to the Board that CSU intends on starting the bore the week of March 18, 2024 weather permitting.  Herb also reported to the Board he is waiting on bids from 3 contractors to complete the open dig sections of the new raw water lines and hopes to have those for the April meeting.

With no other business to discuss, Tim Standeford moved for adjournment.  The motion received a second from Ron Wright and carried, unanimously.  The next monthly Directors meeting will be Tuesday, April 16, 2024 at 8:00 AM.  The meeting adjourned at 8:53 AM.
