In attendance: President Ross Holloway, Secretary Ron Wright, Treasurer Tim Standeford, Director Daryl Swinney, and General Manager Herb Cook.

The meeting was called to order at 7:55 AM by Ross Holloway.  The Minutes of the Directors meeting held on October 15, 2024 were presented for review/approval.  Daryl Swinney moved the minutes be approved as presented.  The motion was seconded by Tim Standeford and carried unanimously.  Herb Cook gave the Treasurer’s Report.  Ron Wright made a motion to approve the Treasurer’s Report.  Daryl Swinney seconded the motion and carried unanimously.  Herb Cook gave the Operation’s and Manager’s Report.  Tim Standeford made a motion to accept the Operation’s and Manager’s Report.  Ron Wright seconded the motion and carried unanimously.

Old Business

  1. New Water Treatment Plant: Herb Cook reported to the Board that Preload has mobilized onto the plant site and has started working on the foundation for the clear well.  Herb also noted that Mitchell and Stark have started installing pipe in the high service pump room and that they plan to still have the building dried in by the end of the year.
  2. Sunset Booster Upgrade:  Mitchell and Stark have ordered all of the materials to start building the new booster pump building at Sunset and hopes to start working at the site at the first of the year.

New Business

  1. 2025 Holiday Schedule:  The Board was presented with the 2025 Holiday Schedule to review.  Tim Standeford made a motion to accept the 2025 Holiday Schedule as presented.  Ron Wright seconded the motion and carried unanimously.
  2. 2025 Wages and Pension:  Herb Cook presented employee reviews and recommendation of wages for the 2025 year.  Ron Wright made a motion to accept the 2025 wages.  Daryl Swinney seconded the motion and carried unanimously.  Next, Daryl Swinney made a motion to approve SEP contributions to continue at 15% of gross each month for the 2025 year.  Tim Standeford seconded the motion and carried unanimously.  After much discussion, Daryl Swinney made a motion to pay all employees a Christmas Bonus the second week of December. Tim Standeford seconded the motion and carried unanimously.
  3. 2024 Lead and Copper: Herb Cook informed the Board that the service line inventory was submitted to IDEM by the October 15, 2024 deadline.  Also, Herb noted that letters had been mailed to all unknown and known galvanized service line on November 14, 2024.  IDEM received our certification of letters being mailed on November 15, 2024.
  4. Employees:  Nicole Stafford was hired to work part time in the office starting on November 4, 2024.  Her duties will be to handle all locate responses to IUPPS as well as cross train into the front office to help cover the other front office employees.

Construction

  1. Wellfield Upgrade/Raw Water Lines:  Herb Cook made note to the Board that the new pumps and motors have been ordered by Bastin and Logan for wells 1, 2, and 3.  Bastin and Logan has also been working on building well #4, but is still waiting on materials to complete.

With no other business to discuss, Daryl Swinney moved for adjournment.  The motion received a second from Tim Standeford and carried, unanimously.  The next monthly Director’s meeting will be Tuesday, December 17, 2024 at 4:00 PM.  The meeting was adjourned at 9:15 AM.
